Bamboo cotton fleece
A handy, warm and soft item in our collection is the bamboo cotton (315g/m2).
The fabric is available in various colours, fleece/verlours color on one side (baby) terry cloth-like on the other side. The fabric is a combination of cotton together with bamboo, so not one side cotton and the other bamboo, but a mixed fiber.
The fabric is versatile and remains beautiful in the wash, shrinks approximately 5-8%.
The fabric is also absorbent, so great as a bathrobe or towel or pestemal.
Ideal for, for example, a crib blanket, crib blanket, shawl, sweat vest (nice with 2-sided finish), sleeping bag, wrap in Maxi Cosi or stroller, playpen blanket / play mat, poncho, footmuff, sofa blanket, animal blanket, house suit, washable diapers (about this). some additional information at the bottom), washable baby wipes/snout cleaners, washable sanitary towels, washable make-up pads, in short, all #reusables… plenty of options.
Bamboo textile is an ultra soft, high-quality fabric that is very suitable as an alternative to cotton. Bamboo is known for its antibacterial properties and absorbent fibers. It is used for durable fabrics for which cotton is now used. Often also in combination with cotton such as our 'bamboo fleece' with of course the oekotex quality mark.
If you look at washable diapers, you will soon notice that they come in different materials. A distinction is made between absorbent materials and water-repellent/waterproof materials. The absorbent materials (such as bamboo cotton) are incorporated into the actual diaper area or as a loose insert (which absorbs urine and feces) and the waterproof materials (PUL) are on the outside to protect the clothing against leakage.
